Yeovil4Family Update

January 29, 2018

“Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. Fantastic work with our most needy families. Not sure how we would have managed without your support”   A Quote from a Senior School Teacher about Yeovil4Family.

We really couldn’t be happier to continue our support for Yeovil4Family in 2018 – such a worthwhile charity which is really making a difference in local communities and are currently working with 238 families in Yeovil.

Yeovil4Family started life in May 2011 in Yeovil to tackle the tide of family breakdowns in the town and LiveTwice have been involved since 2015. The charity works with families to ensure children are loved, cared for and will prosper by encouraging family relationships which are constructive instead of destructive and damaging. By providing volunteer Family Mentors to support every member of a troubled family they are able to demonstrate that things can be different both now and for generations to come. They work with a wide range of families with complex and challenging needs, regardless of faith, gender, race, disability, marital status, social class, age, or sexual preference.

Yeovil4Family realised that other communities might benefit from having a similar sort of programme in their area and so ‘4Family’ was developed. There are now four 4Family Initiatives nationally; in Shropshire, Downton (in Wiltshire), Hereford and of course, the first programme in Yeovil.

We hope that their invaluable work continues to go from strength to strength and that soon families nationwide will be able to access the support they offer to families needing support.
